Born on April 26th, 1984, to a Portuguese father and a German mother, Martim was shaped by a truly international upbringing. His academic journey began at St. Julian’s School in Carcavelos, one of Portugal’s most prestigious international schools, where he spent 15 years developing a strong foundation in discipline, excellence, and global awareness.
He later pursued his passion for hospitality at the renowned Les Roches School of Hotel Management in Marbella, graduating with honours. It was here that his deep connection to the world of luxury hospitality and tourism truly took form.
Hospitality runs in his DNA. He is the great-grandson of Fausto de Figueiredo, the visionary behind Estoril’s rise as an international tourism destination—a legacy that continues to inspire his pursuit of excellence.
With nearly two decades of expertise in luxury travel, events, and exclusive lifestyle services, Martim has cultivated a profound understanding of the industry. He began his career at one of Portugal’s premier DMCs, rapidly advancing through the ranks and executing bespoke events and extraordinary experiences for multinational corporations and highly discerning clients.
He later played a pivotal role in launching and managing Quintessentially in Portugal—the world’s leading luxury lifestyle management group. This tenure significantly expanded his operational expertise and laid the foundation for his unrivalled global network.
Promus was created as the natural evolution of this journey.
